Pickler was raised in a difficult environment. She was just two when her mother abandoned her in order to escape an abusive marriage. Pickler had her mother back within her family by the year 1995. She took the care of Pickler. However, things didn't work out the way she had hoped. Pickler returned to her parents when she was 12 years old. The grandparents helped the girl into adulthood.
