The film was released in August 2008 Patridge was cast in the role of Megan. Patridge starred in Carl's Jr.'s commercials throughout 2009 until the end of 2012. Debunking rumors, she denied that she'd play the leading role, based on her Hills co-star Lauren Conrad for the film adaptation of L.A. Candy based Conrad's novel.
