Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is an American R&B/Soul musician and singer. Her awards include the Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are among the many accolades she has earned. She was also nominated for an Academy Award. Andra day is an incredibly talented and powerful artist. It's not like she's the throwback R&B specialist, however her experience in gospel jazz as well as the blues is apparent and is a perfect fit for today's music. There she sang at churches, and was enrolled into the School of Creative and Performing Arts. After she graduated from the school she leaned toward the newer styles of R&B and pop but found herself drawn to jazz classics and soul singers she was exposed to as a youngster. Kai Millard Morris recorded a concert of Day which she later shared with her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's songs. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day's YouTube fan base grew quickly after she joined forces along with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. Day ultimately signed a major label deal in partnership with Warner Bros. It was taken up and played on radio by many DJs. The singer later joined Warner Bros. Records and started working with producer Adrian Gurvitz to record her debut album, Cheers to the Fall (2015). It featured the hit song Rise Up that became an anthem to protests for social justice around the globe. Day was nominated for two Grammy Awards including Best R&B Album. In 2019, she debuted her sophomore album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album on the life of the legendary jazz singer. In the same year, she appeared in a biopic of Holiday's life, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Matichak is an American actor. She began her career in the television industry and appeared on shows such as Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods. After that, she made her movie debut with Halloween and its sequels in the role of Allyson. Andi Mattichak was born on the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
